June Pride Month
Take this time to learn about LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Foster children who are also in the LGBTQ+ community can experience harassment in the foster care system. According to youth.gov, 78 percent of LGBT6 youth in one study were removed or ran away from foster placements because of the caregiver’s hostility toward their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Take a stand, advocate for ALL YOUTH, and educate yourself on the issues that are going on with out youth.
